Faith Soonae

About Faith

I have never been particularly interested in staying inside the edges.

I am curious by nature. About people, consciousness, the body, spirituality, creativity, ancient wisdom, the universe and all the strange little contradictions that come with being human.

My world has taken me through creativity, writing, laughter, deep questioning and experiences that have changed the way I understand life.

I am interested in what happens when we stop trying to separate everything into neat little boxes.

The spiritual from the ordinary.

The profound from the funny.

The body from consciousness.

Ancient wisdom from modern life.

The things we know from the things we are still trying to understand.

Life feels limitless to me

I don't see life as something we arrive in with one fixed identity and then spend the rest of our time defending it.

There is always another thing to learn, somewhere else to go, something to create, a new way of seeing, or another part of ourselves waiting to be met.

That does not mean pretending life is always easy.

It means I would rather stay curious than decide I already know what is possible.

I like trying things.

I like asking questions.

I like following an idea just to see where it leads.

And I would much rather leave this life having explored too much than having spent it carefully standing at the edge.

Spirituality, but with my feet still on the ground

My spirituality is deeply important to me, but so is sovereignty.

I don't believe anyone needs to hand their authority over to a teacher, a belief system or somebody claiming to have all the answers.

I am interested in direct experience: in meditation, in the intelligence of the body, and in kundalini and consciousness.

In sound and frequency, and in the way energy can be focused, shaped and experienced through vibration.

In the Great Mother and the ancient ways humanity has understood creation, nature and our relationship with the living world.

And in remaining willing to laugh when humans, including me, take the whole thing far too seriously.

The ordinary version

There is also a much more ordinary version of me in all of this

I love gongs, drums and the physical feeling of sound moving through a room. I like movement, music, trying things, learning things and occasionally dancing in the rain simply because it is raining.

I can be deeply contemplative and very serious when something matters. Much of my working life has involved helping people through difficult, complicated situations, holding responsibility and trying to make something a little better when life is not simple.

Ted has been part of that story too. He lives with me, appears all over this website, and even used to come to work with me while I was helping people.

So the mystical and the practical have never felt especially separate to me. One minute I may be thinking about consciousness, the next I may be listening to a gong, walking Ted, creating something, laughing at the absurdity of being human or following another idea to see where it goes.

This website is where those worlds meet

Faith Soonae is not one subject.

It is where I bring together the things I create, question, experience and discover.

  • Great Mother Wisdom.
  • Meditation, sound and frequency.
  • Free Resources.
  • The Cosmic Wink.
  • Books and stories.
  • Creative work.

And probably a few things that haven't occurred to me yet.

You do not have to agree with everything here.

You don't even have to understand all of it.

The main thing is that you enjoy being here. Wander around, take what is useful, laugh where there is something to laugh at, and hopefully leave with something that made you think, feel or smile.

I believe in love, freedom and creation.
The freedom to love, the freedom to create, and the freedom to shape a life that feels like your own.
